In 1.0.8.5 i upgraded TinyMCE to Version 3!
I was reported that on some systems the advanced WysiWyg Theme will not work and TinyMCE fall back to simple theme. This must be some issues with the gzip compression or so. i do not exactly now yet.
Here is a fixed wysiwyg.inc.php for use with 1085 which does not use gzip compression but works an all systems.
Just click on the link below and save the file as wysiwyg.inc.php. then copy it to the 'include' directory in your Tellmatic installation dir, overwrite the existing version. you're done. WysiWyg now has the advanced theme again.

I am back from France, TDL 2009 in Soissons and i am very glad to announce you that Tellmatic took part in the 5th Trophees-Du-Libre free software development awards 2009.
Tellmatic was nominated to be one of the (only two) contestants in the category 'Administration' (one of the 7 total categories and 23 total projects), and finally took the 2nd place.
(i couldn't beat linea21 at all! Congratulations to these very nice guys who spent the time with me in Soissins and shared the presentation room from our category.)
It was a great event, and it was a pleasure to meet all these people! congratulations to all winners (we all were winners ;-) and many thanks to the Jury, Cetril and all the other involved participants who made it possible to go there.
Special thanks goes to Maxime who took care of us all and managed almost everything!

In der aktuellen Ausgabe (c't 13/2009 Seite 150/151) testet das deutsche C'T-Magazin verschiedene Newsletter-Systeme.
Leider schneidet Tellmatic dabei nicht ganz so gut ab.
Folgendes Schreiben habe ich an die Redaktion geschickt zur Richtigstellung des Tests meiner Software:
Nun ist es wirklich so das Tellmatic dringend eine Dokumentation braucht. Hierzu werd ich in den naechsten Tagen ggf. ein Wiki einrichten. Auch ist ein ausfuehrliches PDF Book geplant. Ich moechte ja nicht das alle Benutzer so frustriert enden wie dieser hier (Link fuehrt zum Forum) (Wenn ich ehrlich bin... der Eintrag laesst gewisse parallelen zu dem Testbericht zu.... aber ich moechte ja nichts unterstellen)

Thiago A.C. published an update for the portuguese translation file (pt-br   ) in the Tellmatic Patch-Tracker at SourceForge.
To install just download the file from here or here and safe it on your harddisk.
Unzip the package (tellmatic-pt.zip) and copy the extracted file (tellmatic-pt.po) to the directory called 'locale' in your Tellmatic installation folder (e.g. via FTP). Make a backup of the original file before, and overwrite the old file with the new one.

I just solved the IE (MS Internetexplorer) Bug. It was simple but i had to dig into the HTML Code and Trial'n Error around a lot to solve this. Using an old crappy IE5 in W2K running in VMWare.
So, to fix the IE Problem in Tellmatic 1.0.8.4 please edit the file "Main.inc.php" located in the "include" directory in your Tellmatic installation. Users with FTP should first download the file or maybe right click->edit file is enough. Open the file with your favorite texteditor.
Scroll down to Line 170
change:
"toggleSlide('toggle_main_info','main_info',0);".
to:
"//toggleSlide('toggle_main_info','main_info',0);".
(add // after ")
now scroll down to line 184 and insert a new line:
toggleSlide("toggle_main_info","main_info",0);
Thats it! This should fix the IE Problem....., YES, it is only one line i moved in the resulting HTML Code.... weird!

The new mootools in Tellmatic doesn't work with IE (MS Internetexplorer). Or better: IE seems to be a bit buggy and crashes when you load the login page ("operation canceled"). This is no error in coding or something related to Mootools, it's simply an IE-only problem! (Opera sometimes too) IE users should switch to a more common browser like Firefox or Seamonkey! I'm working on this, but i don't know how to test in IE, i have no IE! Sorry, hopefully this will be fixed soon or i'll add a workaround to use old js functions in IE only, but this means a lot of extra work to only support properitary non standard browsers... . Anyway, if it would run in IE you have to live with the "transparent 24Bit PNG-Bug" in IE.... (IE problem too! and adding a workaround is also a lot of extra work, ...and 256 color PNGs are really looking bad.)

If you really must use IE, just delete js/tellmatic_mootools.js

Unfortunately there were some more or less critical bugs in the last release (1.0.8.4).
Especially there was an error on creating new queues. This error only exists for newer/latest MySQL5 Versions.

Update is highly recommended!

I translated the system-messages (.po files for gettext) , about 570 phrases!

I translated the quick-help files for the text shown above the lists or masks in Tellmatic. Its only a poor translation.Download
Upcoming releases will use gettext and different directories for quick-help-files
A german sourcefile for gettext is available for translation, please contact me if you want to help translating Tellmatic in your favorite language. I can offer an english version too in a few days, i hope so.
